I first want to tell you that I have gone to the salon once in my 50 years to get my hair colored. Why? Because I am cheap! I will not pay all my hard-earned money for something I can do at home for a few dollars. I have friends that have paid well over $100 just to get their hair colored. Next, I have to admit that most store-bought hair color does not live up to the claims they make. Most fade or just plain are not permanent, as they say. Normally they will last about 3 weeks. I usually just let it go a few more weeks. I am at the age I just do not care. I have had gray hairs since my early twenties so it is what it is.
